Sofa Foam Replacement Dubai — Firmer Seats, No Reupholstery
Sagging sofa cushions aren’t a fabric problem — they’re a foam problem. Over time, even high-quality foam compresses, loses its resilience, and stops bouncing back. The fabric may still look fine, but the seat feels flat. Replacing just the foam — while reusing your existing fabric covers — restores comfort at a fraction of the cost of a full reupholstery.
We specialize in sofa foam replacement across Dubai. Our workshop cuts high-density HR foam (38–42 kg/m³) to your exact cushion dimensions, then refits your existing covers. You get firmer, longer-lasting seats without touching the fabric.
If your covers are worn, we can combine foam replacement with reupholstery — but if the fabric is still good, you save 40–60% by reusing it.

When to Replace Sofa Foam
Replace your sofa foam when you notice:
- Cushions that don’t bounce back — you sit and the foam stays compressed
- Visible sag in the seat — the cushion profile has flattened permanently
- Wear dip in high-use seats — one seat feels noticeably softer than the others
- Bottoming out — you can feel the sofa frame beneath you
- Compressed corners — foam has lost shape at the edges
If two or more of these apply, foam replacement is usually the right fix. If the fabric is also worn, reupholstery gives you a fresh look and new foam in one service.
Foam Densities We Use
Not all foam is the same. Cheap foam (typically 20–25 kg/m³) is what most mass-market sofas use, and it’s why they sag within a few years. We use:
- HR foam (38–42 kg/m³) — the standard for quality seating. Firm, resilient, lasts 10+ years.
- Soft fibre wrap — a thin top layer over the HR foam for a plush initial feel without sacrificing support.
- Memory foam layer — optional, for premium comfort on selected cushions.
We match foam density to the seat position — firmer for main seats, softer for backrest cushions.
Foam Replacement vs Full Reupholstery
Replacing foam alone is the right choice when:
- Your fabric is in good condition
- Zips on the cushion covers are functional
- You’re happy with the current colour and pattern
- You want the fastest, most economical fix
Full reupholstery is better when the fabric is worn, faded, or stained, or when you want a complete refresh. We’ll advise on which is right for your sofa during the free inspection.
